How To Make Fondant Roses Without Any Tools
Supplies
Start out with coloring your fondant the desired color. You will also need some wax paper (or parchment oven even acetate sheets).
Making a fondant Rose
Break off small pieces of fondant, Roll the small pieces into balls.
- Take off small pieces of fondant.
- Roll the fondant into balls.
Place a ball between two pieces of wax paper and press down to flatten.
- Place a ball between 2 sheets of wax paper.
- Press down to flatten.
- Flattened ball.
Next, make one edge very veru thin by pressing and rubbing on it.
- Flatten one edge of the petal very thin.
- You can see how it is very thin on one edge and thicker on the other.
To form the rose center bud, roll this petal up.
- For the rose center, star by rolling up the first petal.
- Rose center complete.
Make the next petal then wrap it around the center. Keep building your rose.
- Make another petal and add to the outside of the first.
- Keep making petals.
- Keep adding petals to build the rose.
Making a couple of petals at a time makes this go a little quicker. Continue adding petal and shape as you go along. Curl some of the tips slightly over.
- I made a bunch of petals to make forming the rose easier.
- Keep adding petals. You can curve or pinch the end/petals to make it look more realistic.
- Building the rose. Notice how I adjust the petal.
Keep adding petals until you are done.
- Keep adding until you are satisfied with your rose.
- One rose completed.
